Products and categories

Organize your menu into categories and set up each product for sale.

Creating categories

Categories group your menu into sections such as Starters, Mains, or Drinks. Creating categories first makes it easier to organize products as you add them and keeps your POS and online menus easy to browse.

Creating products

Each product belongs to a category and includes the details your team and customers need to see: a name, an optional description, and an image if you want one shown on the POS or a customer-facing screen.

Translatable names

Because BeeOS is bilingual, product and category names can be entered in both Arabic and English. Whichever language a user has selected, they see the matching name automatically — you only need to fill in both fields once.

Pricing

Set the sale price for each product. Prices can be adjusted at any time, and changes apply to new orders going forward without affecting orders that have already been placed.

Active and inactive items

Mark a product inactive when it is temporarily unavailable — out of season, out of stock, or off the menu for the day — without deleting it. Inactive products disappear from the POS but keep their history and can be reactivated whenever you are ready to sell them again.
